JOB DESCRIPTION

Assist engineers in designing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. Support site inspections, troubleshooting, documentation, and basic project coordination while gaining hands-on experience in electrical design, safety standards, and engineering best practices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Electrical & Hardware Support

• Assist in wiring, assembly, and installation of IoT hardware and electronic components.

• Support PCB board handling, component testing, and diagnostic activities.

• Conduct troubleshooting for electrical systems and device malfunctions.


Testing & Quality Assurance

• Assist in testing electronic devices, sensors, and IoT modules.

• Perform quality checks and record performance reports.

• Support prototyping, stress testing, and functional verification.


Technical Documentation

• Prepare wiring diagrams, schematics, and test reports.

• Assist in updating technical documentation for hardware installations and maintenance.

• Organise and document engineering procedures and workflows.


Project & Field Support

• Support engineers during project deployments, installations, and field visits.

• Assist in setting up IoT systems, AI-based devices, and smart vending machine prototypes.

• Coordinate with the BD/Software team to ensure seamless hardware integration.


Research & Development Support

• Assist in evaluating new sensors, components, and electrical parts.

• Support prototype development and contribute to engineering improvement ideas.

• Participate in brainstorming and engineering review meetings.


Ad-hoc Engineering Tasks

• Assist in lab maintenance, inventory checking, and tool organisation.

• Perform any other engineering-related tasks assigned by supervisors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Currently pursuing a Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.


• Basic understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and hardware troubleshooting.


• Able to read electrical diagrams and use basic electrical tools (advantage).


• Familiar with multimeters, soldering tools, and testing equipment (advantage).


• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.


• Willing to learn, hands-on, and able to work under guidance.


• Good teamwork and communication skills.
